Gord

Gord asks for tolerance for harsh systems and a world that does not stay gentle for long. By our assessment, it is a dark fantasy strategy game for players who like survival pressure, settlement management, and combat that feels tied to resource strain. The strongest thing about it is the mood and the way it blends city upkeep with hostile mythic wilderness. The downside is that this kind of game can be punishing and a little busy, because stress, defence, and growth all compete for attention at once. In practice, Gord looks less like a clean empire builder and more like a tense management game where every improvement has to earn its place. It sits in the tougher end of strategy, closer to grim city survival than to relaxed construction, and that is where its identity is clearest. Gord is a good reach for players who want pressure and planning together, and it is not the place for a soft, idle sandbox.
