Gods Will Be Watching

Gods Will Be Watching is a pressure game first and a story game second, built around hard choices, limited resources, and situations that keep getting worse. By our assessment, its strength lies in making survival feel procedural: you are balancing heat, morale, food, security, and time rather than just pushing through encounters. The downside is that this sort of design can feel punishing and brittle, because a small mistake often snowballs fast. In practice it plays like a tense management puzzle wrapped around a bleak sci-fi setup, with a lot of reading, waiting, and deciding what to sacrifice. Compared with action-heavy stories, it is more about consequences than spectacle. It is a better fit for players who like harsh resource games and moral pressure than for anyone wanting a relaxed narrative ride.
