Gal*Gun: Double Peace is a rail-shooter built around dodging, aiming and surviving waves of over-the-top flirting rather than anything remotely subtle. By our assessment, it is the kind of game that exists for players who want a very specific comic tone and do not mind the constant joke going on around them. Its main strength is the immediate, noisy arcade structure: the rules are simple, the pace is quick, and each stage is about reacting fast. The downside is just as plain, because the whole premise is one-note and the joke can wear thin fast if that style does not land. In practice it plays like a busy on-rails shooter with a lot of visual clutter and little patience for anyone looking for restraint.
