GRAV wants players who enjoy survival sandboxing, mining, building, and the slow business of staying alive in a hostile space setting. By our assessment, its real strength is the mix of crafting and exploration with movement that has a light, floaty feel, so traveling and gathering resources are part of the game’s identity rather than a pause between fights. The downside is that a survival game in this style can become repetitive if the loop of gathering, building, and managing danger stops feeling fresh. In practice it is about making small plans, defending what you made, and learning the terrain well enough to move through it without wasting resources. It sits with other indie survival-craft games, but its space theme gives it a lighter and more airborne touch than the usual grounded version of the genre. GRAV is more about survival routines than about a strong scripted story.
