GOAT OF DUTY

GOAT OF DUTY is a shooter gag first and a serious military game never, and that oddball tone is the whole point. By our assessment, it works when the joke of playing as armed goats is enough to carry the session, because the appeal is novelty, speed, and a silly visual hook. The limit is obvious: once the joke is known, the rest has to stand on movement and map design, and titles built on a pun rarely have much room to grow. In practice this kind of game usually feels loose and frantic, with more attention on comedy than on precision. GOAT OF DUTY sits among the many parody shooters that get attention from the name before they earn it from the play itself.
