Frozen Synapse Prime

Frozen Synapse Prime asks for planning, not reflexes: you set orders for a small squad, watch synchronized turns unfold, and try to predict what the other side will do before the round resolves. By our assessment, that clean turn-planning is its real strength, because every move feels like a little tactical bet rather than a scramble. The downside is obvious as soon as you miss that kind of thinking; it can feel cold, abstract, and punishing if you want immediate feedback or a looser pace. In practice it plays like a compact tactics board that keeps asking you to think two steps ahead, then live with the result. Compared with broader strategy games, it is narrower and harsher, but also sharper in how it frames each decision. That makes it a strong pick for players who like careful positioning and prediction, and a poor fit for anyone who wants spectacle first.
