Forgotton Anne

Forgotton Anne sits in the lane of cinematic puzzle-adventure games where story and movement do most of the work. By our assessment, its real draw is the hand-painted look and the way it frames platforming around talking to characters and moving through a crafted world rather than around combat. The trade-off is plain: the play can feel light if someone wants systems first and story second, because this kind of game leans hard on mood, pacing, and staging. In practice it is the sort of thing to take slowly, letting the art, animation, and set-piece flow do the heavy lifting. It stands closer to a narrative adventure than to a challenge-forward platformer, and that will please some people while leaving others wanting more bite. Forgotton Anne is best for players who want a polished story world and are happy with gentler mechanics, and less so for anyone chasing depth in puzzles or replayable systems.
