Fog Of War - Free Edition

Fog Of War - Free Edition is the stripped-down end of a strategy idea: hidden information, scouting, and guesses about where the enemy really is. By our assessment, its value comes from the fog itself, because uncertainty changes every move and makes map knowledge matter. The free edition framing also tells you the limit: this is the lighter version, so it is not the place to expect a full-featured experience or generous content. In practice that means cautious probing, second-guessing, and a lot of attention to what has been seen rather than what is assumed. It sits closer to a tactical experiment than a broad commercial strategy title. That makes it useful for players who want to test the core idea first, and less attractive if they want a complete package with no obvious trimming.
