FlyKnight is built around close, cautious exploration and the sort of combat that rewards timing more than spectacle. By our assessment, its draw is the small-scale adventure feel: moving through dangerous spaces, picking openings, and making each encounter matter. The downside is familiar for this style of game, because limited scope can turn into repetition once the routes and enemy patterns are learned. In practice it should feel like a compact action RPG rather than a big fantasy quest, with more attention on movement and encounter spacing than on story. It sits closer to indie dungeon-crawling than to the broad open-ended adventures that dominate the genre, and that keeps its ambitions modest and clear.
