Fishing Planet

Fishing Planet is a fishing simulator for people who enjoy waiting on purpose, reading water, choosing tackle, and learning how different venues and species change the catch. By our assessment, its strength is the amount of fishing detail it brings into a free-to-play online setup: rods, reels, bait, line, and location matter in a way arcade fishing games usually skip. The downside is also built in, because the pace is slow and the learning curve is real, especially for anyone who expects instant action. In practice it is a calm game of patience, gear management, and small successes rather than big dramatic moments. Compared with casual fishing titles, it sits much closer to simulation than to minigame fun, and that makes it more specific than broad. It fits players who like process and quiet repetition more than spectacle.
