Fight The Dragon

Fight The Dragon is a small-scale action RPG that borrows from dungeon crawling and user-made content, so the audience is mostly players who want to build, share, and run through custom adventures. By our assessment, the most interesting part is the creation side: making a dungeon changes the game from a simple loot run into something more like a toy box for experiments. The downside is that this kind of project lives or dies on variety, and the stock combat and presentation can feel plain if the user content is not doing the heavy lifting. In practice it is about short runs, finding gear, and moving through compact spaces rather than living inside a huge campaign. Compared with polished big-budget ARPGs, it is rougher and smaller; compared with pure level editors, it gives you an actual game loop to hang the creations on. Fight The Dragon is a decent pick for people who like tinkering as much as playing, and less convincing for anyone who wants deep combat or a big authored story.
