Fibbage XL

Fibbage XL works best when a group wants a bluffing party game rather than a trivia test. By our assessment, its strength is the lie-writing loop: players get a prompt, invent fake answers, and try to fool everyone else into picking them, so the fun comes from reading the room as much as from knowing facts. The trade-off is that it needs the right crowd and a steady stream of laughs; alone, or with people who dislike social guessing, it loses its spark quickly. In play it is fast, noisy, and very dependent on timing, which makes it easier to bring out at a party than to settle in with for a long session. Compared with strict quiz games, Fibbage XL is looser and meaner in a friendly way, because the joke is often on whoever sounds most confident. It is a better pick for groups that enjoy improvising than for players who want clean knowledge questions.
