FateZ: Zombie Survival

FateZ: Zombie Survival is another survival game, but this one signals zombies up front, so the pressure is not only about hunger and shelter but also about constant threat. By our assessment, its best ground is that familiar survival-and-combat loop: gather, defend, move, repeat, with undead enemies giving the routine a sharper edge. The downside is that zombie survival games can blur together quickly if the map, crafting, or combat do not bring a distinct idea of their own. In practice, the genre usually asks for caution, repetition, and a taste for attrition, which is exactly why some players settle in and others bounce off. It sits in the crowded middle of the genre, where the name alone tells you the shape of the game before the first click.
