Farm Manager 2021: Prologue is a stripped-down farm-management sim for people who like laying out fields, buying machinery, and keeping production chains from snagging. By our assessment, its best feature is that it introduces the genre’s bookkeeping and layout problems in a smaller package, so the rhythm is more about planning than spectacle. The limit is obvious: as a prologue, it is meant as a sampler, not the full stretch of the series, and that narrows what it can offer. In practice it is all menus, placement, and waiting for systems to click into place. Compared with bigger farming sims, it feels like a tutorial-sized slice, and the name says that plainly.
