Farlanders

Farlanders is for people who enjoy the steady work of building a colony in a tough place, especially when the pleasure comes from planning out production, housing, and movement rather than from combat. By our assessment, its strongest point is that it makes settlement building feel deliberate: resources, placement, and layout matter, so a good map plan pays off. The honest limit is that colony sims can become slow if the player does not like watching systems unfold one step at a time. In practice, this kind of game is about arranging buildings, feeding chains of supply, and adjusting when the colony runs short on something. It sits near other city-builder and colony-management games, but the name and the setting point it toward frontier survival rather than urban scale. Farlanders has the kind of structure that rewards patience, because the town grows out of small decisions rather than big dramatic turns.
