Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is the kind of open-world shooter people reach for when they want map-filling chaos, outposts to clear, vehicles to grab, and a lot of gunplay between scripted set pieces. By our assessment, it does the basic Far Cry loop well enough: roaming, shooting, looting, and taking over territory with a steady flow of toys and explosions. The downside is that the formula is already familiar, so the game leans on scale and repetition more than surprise. In practice it is loud, busy, and built around constant movement across a large world. Compared with earlier entries, it does not reinvent the series; it mostly refines the established template. Far Cry 6 is a straightforward blockbuster shooter, and the number in its name is simply part of that title.
