Exo One: Prologue

Exo One: Prologue strips movement down to momentum, gravity, and a strange sense of travelling through space on a world that keeps bending the rules. By our assessment, that makes it a good fit for players who enjoy atmosphere and traversal more than combat or puzzle solving. Its strength is the feeling of motion itself: the game asks you to learn speed, slope, and launch timing until movement becomes the point. The downside is that this kind of experience can feel sparse if someone wants constant objectives, dialogue, or systems layered on top. It sits closer to experimental traversal games than to a conventional action adventure, and the unusual physics are the reason it stands out. Exo One: Prologue is the kind of thing that asks for patience with empty space and rewards it with the movement system alone.
