Executive Assault

Executive Assault stands out because it mixes base building with direct control, so the player is not only placing structures but also jumping into a first-person fight inside the same match. By our assessment, that hybrid is the draw: one moment is about economy and layout, the next is about aiming and surviving in the middle of your own machine. The downside is that two kinds of game have to work at once, and balance can feel busy or uneven if someone only wants one side of the experience. In practice it asks for constant switching of attention, which makes it more demanding than a pure strategy game but also less static. Compared with straight RTS titles, it is more personal and scrappier; compared with pure shooters, it is much more about logistics and map control. Executive Assault suits players who like strategy with hands-on action, and it leaves little room for people who want a clean, single-track genre.
