EvilQuest

EvilQuest is a retro-style action RPG that leans on simple combat, exploration, and a deliberately mean-spirited fantasy tone. By our assessment, its appeal comes from that abrasive personality and from the way it plays with old-school RPG structure without trying to smooth every edge off. The downside is that the same roughness can feel clumsy if someone wants modern polish, clean pacing, or a softer tone. In practice it is the kind of game where short-term survival, loot, and route choice matter more than deep narrative comfort. It sits in the lane of small, eccentric indie RPGs rather than mainstream fantasy epics. EvilQuest is best treated as a curiosity with attitude, not as a broad entry point into the genre.
