Evil West

Evil West is a straight action game for people who want guns, melee hits, and monster fights pushed together without much fuss. By our assessment, its best feature is the simple impact of that mix: it wants every encounter to feel loud, physical, and easy to read, with a western-flavored monster-hunting setup that keeps moving. The drawback is that the same directness can make it feel repetitive, because the game is not trying to be subtle or especially flexible. In practice it sounds like a game of steady forward pressure, finishing waves of enemies and moving on. Evil West sits squarely in the mid-budget action space, closer to a brawler with firearms than to a deep systemic action RPG. It works for players who want a clear route through fights and do not need much complexity, and it leaves little room for anyone hoping for broad exploration or clever combat layers.
