Evil Dead: The Game

By our assessment, Evil Dead: The Game is built for fans of the horror-comedy series who want the slashy, messy side of that world in multiplayer form. Its best trick is clear fan-service: famous characters, grotesque weapons, and the pleasure of a game that knows exactly which bits of the franchise people came for. The trade-off is that licensed games often lean hard on recognition, so if the combat loop or balance does not land, the whole thing can feel thinner than the name suggests. In practice, it is the kind of game where the appeal comes from noisy matches, co-op panic, and the fun of seeing the franchise machinery in motion. It sits among asymmetrical or licensed action games rather than pure horror, and that matters because the tone is as much about chaos and jokes as about fear. Evil Dead: The Game is strongest when someone already wants that universe and its ugly charm, not when they want a clean competitive box with no baggage.
