Everything

Everything is a peculiar game about inhabiting whatever the camera lands on, from tiny details to broad systems, with no fixed hero taking the center. By our assessment, that makes it most attractive to players who enjoy experiment, ambience, and the idea of a game that behaves more like a philosophy toy than a conventional objective hunt. Its strongest trick is the scale of perspective: the same world can be seen as many nested things, which gives it a memorable, gently strange feel. The downside is that it is not built for constant goals or sharp challenge, so anyone wanting a clear win state may find it too loose. In practice it asks for curiosity and a willingness to drift, which is unusual among games and part of its charm. Compared with ordinary sandbox titles, it is more meditative and less about managing goals, and the name is not exaggeration so much as a statement of intent. It works best when the player is happy to let the thing unfold at its own pace.
