Etherium

Etherium is one of those strategy names that sounds grander than the game usually turns out to be, which is not always a flaw and not always a virtue either. By our assessment, what matters is that it sits in the real-time strategy space and tries to mix base building, resource control, and control of territory with a science-fiction skin. The downside is familiar for the genre: once the economy and unit balance stop being interesting, the whole thing can feel more like routine management than dramatic command. In practice it is about spreading out, holding key points, and keeping production moving while reading the map. It sits beside other sci-fi RTS games rather than above them, and Etherium is for players who like the discipline of map control more than flashy spectacle.
