Energy Balance

Energy Balance asks for patience more than speed, because the whole idea is to manage resources, timing, or scores in a way that keeps everything from tipping over. By our assessment, that kind of design can be satisfying when the rules are clear and every choice has a visible cost, but it also gets old fast if the loop is too thin. The name suggests a broad puzzle or strategy idea, and that usually means a game about keeping several things in check at once. In practice, that sort of game lives or dies on feedback and readability, so the minute-to-minute feel matters more than a fancy premise. It sits closer to small logic or management games than to anything action-led. Energy Balance is for players who enjoy careful juggling and not much hand-holding, and it will not suit anyone who wants constant spectacle.
