Endless Sky

Endless Sky is a space trading and exploration game for people who enjoy charts, cargo runs, and slowly turning a small ship into something more capable. By our assessment, it is strongest when it lets a player build a personal route through trade, missions, and ship upgrades, with a lot of room for self-directed wandering. The downside is that this kind of open-ended structure can feel sparse if someone wants constant drama or handcrafted spectacle. In practice it is a game of menus, maps, short jumps, and the quiet satisfaction of watching a fleet or ship setup come together over time. Compared with big commercial space sims, it is much lighter and less showy, but also far easier to approach. Endless Sky sits in the free, indie corner of the genre, where patience and curiosity matter more than spectacle.
