Dungeons

Dungeons asks for patience with its own idea: you are not a hero clearing a room, you are a dungeon boss trying to build a maze that slows intruders down. By our assessment, that reversal is the game’s real charm, because room placement, trap layout, and resource management matter more than flashy action. The limit is familiar for strategy games built on systems first: if you do not enjoy planning ahead and watching numbers, the appeal fades fast. In practice it feels like arranging a nasty little machine and then waiting to see whether the next group of adventurers gets chewed up by it. Compared with bigger, more polished dungeon-management games, it is more blunt and less expansive, but the core joke of playing the other side still lands. It suits people who like tactical buildup more than direct combat, and it stays interesting only as long as that inversion feels fresh.
