Dungeon of Rikka

Dungeon of Rikka is a small turn-based dungeon crawler at heart, the sort of game people reach for when they want party management, simple combat, and a bit of map-clearing rather than spectacle. By our assessment, it can be appealing if the loop is tight and the encounter design does the work, because that kind of game lives or dies on pacing and readable choices. The obvious limit is that this whole niche is crowded, and without a strong hook it can blur into the many similar indie dungeon crawlers around it. In play, the real question is whether its turns stay brisk or start to feel like routine. It sits more with compact strategy-RPGs than with action games, and Dungeon of Rikka is for players who enjoy careful, low-stakes dungeon runs.
