Dungeon Rats

Dungeon Rats is a party-based role-playing game for people who like tight fights, limited resources, and ugly choices rather than heroic wandering. By our assessment, it does best at making every turn matter, because positioning, armour, and stamina all carry real weight in the combat. The downside is the same thing that gives it shape: it can feel harsh, narrow, and unfriendly if you want a broad world or a forgiving pace. In practice it asks for attention to inventory, party setup, and the order of every skirmish, so the flow is more pressure than comfort. It sits closer to hard-edged old-school tactical RPGs than to big open fantasy adventures, and it keeps the focus on survival inside a cramped, dangerous structure. The name fits; the game is about scraping through, not shining.
