Drunk: Relapsed

Drunk: Relapsed takes a subject that is usually awkward to handle and pushes it toward bleak, direct survival play. By our assessment, that gives it a clear identity, but also means the game will only work for players comfortable with rough material and an unsentimental tone. Its strength is the subject itself: relapse, alcohol, and the struggle to keep control are not treated as decoration. The obvious limit is that this kind of premise can be hard to enjoy if the mechanics do not support the theme with enough care or variety. In practice, that tends to make the game feel tense, uncomfortable, and narrow in a very deliberate way. Compared with lighter narrative games, it is less about comfort and more about staying in an unpleasant situation long enough to think about it. Drunk: Relapsed is for people who can sit with that pressure, and not for anyone looking for a relaxed or cheerful evening.
