DreadOut

DreadOut is a third-person horror game built around exploring haunted spaces, solving simple obstacles, and using a phone camera to confront ghosts. By our assessment, the camera idea is the part that gives it identity, because it turns ordinary looking and aiming into the main defense instead of a side gadget. The trade-off is roughness: movement and presentation are more modest than in bigger horror series, and that can make the game feel uneven even when the premise is strong. In practice it leans on atmosphere, sudden encounters, and slow movement through dark places rather than on elegant systems. Compared with polished survival horror, it is more local and scrappier, with less emphasis on tight finish and more on mood. DreadOut is for players who care more about ghost-story texture than smooth action; if technical polish is the main concern, it will feel limited.
