DogFight

DogFight is a name that usually points to aerial combat, and that is the part of the genre most people already understand: quick duels, pressure, and little room for wandering off. By our assessment, that kind of game lives or dies on how cleanly it handles movement and aim, because without that the whole thing turns into noise. The downside is also familiar: if the dogfights themselves are not sharply tuned, there is very little else to lean on. In play, the appeal is usually immediate and the ceiling is usually low. It sits among straightforward combat games rather than anything elaborate. The name suggests action first, but there is not enough concrete public substance here to say more safely than that.
