Dimensionals

Dimensionals suggests the sort of game that leans on scale, shifting spaces, or layered systems rather than a simple one-idea loop. By our assessment, that can make it interesting for players who like unpacking rules and seeing how pieces connect, but it can also leave others cold if the hook stays abstract for too long. The likely upside is structure: this kind of game can reward attention to pattern and timing. Its downside is the same stiffness that often comes with games built around concepts first and immediate action second. In practice, it sounds like something where understanding the board matters as much as making moves. Dimensionals sits nearer to thoughtful systems play than to pure action, and it reads as a niche idea rather than a broad crowd-pleaser.
