Dex is a compact action game about getting in close, reading openings, and moving fast enough to stay alive. By our assessment, it works best when a player likes short, sharp exchanges rather than long systems to memorize. The appeal is the speed of the back-and-forth and the way every mistake shows up quickly on screen. The downside is that this kind of game lives or dies on execution, so it can feel thin if someone wants progression, story, or a lot of build variety. In practice it should feel direct and reactive, with little room for wandering. Compared with bigger action games, Dex sits on the lean side and asks for attention more than patience.
