Desktop+ is the kind of VR or desktop toy that lives on the border between app and game, and people usually reach for it when they want a playful environment rather than a strict objective. By our assessment, its appeal comes from turning the screen or virtual space into something you can poke at and rearrange instead of just stare at. The trade-off is thinness: once the novelty of the interface wears off, there may not be much structure left to hold attention. In use, that usually means a lot of small interactions, drag-and-drop fiddling, and a fairly casual pace. It sits closer to a sandbox experiment than to a full game, so the ceiling is set by how much the toy-like interface can keep surprising you.
