Deponia: The Complete Journey

Deponia: The Complete Journey bundles the full point-and-click comedy puzzle series into one package, so it is mainly for people who want the whole story in a single run. By our assessment, its main appeal is the old-school adventure structure: inventory puzzles, oddball dialogue, and a lot of running around a messy junkworld setting. The downside is also classic for the genre, because that sort of puzzle design can become trial-and-error and the jokes do not land equally well for everyone. In practice it is a game of clicking around, combining items, and talking through long stretches of scene-setting. It sits squarely among comic adventure games rather than action titles, and the package format mainly helps players who want the complete trilogy without chasing separate entries. If someone likes classic German-style point-and-click humor and does not mind uneven puzzle logic, this is a reasonable pick; if not, the pace and tone will grate. The whole thing is more about packaging a known series cleanly than reinventing it.
