Definitely Not Fried Chicken

Definitely Not Fried Chicken takes the familiar management-game idea and twists it into a criminal-business sim, which is exactly the sort of weird premise that can carry a whole indie title. By our assessment, the hook is clear: you are building operations, arranging production, and dealing with the logistics of a front that is not what it seems. The upside is the comedy of the setup and the appeal of watching systems click together around a bad idea executed with straight-faced mechanics. The downside is that this kind of game can lean on the joke too hard, so if the management layer is thin, the premise alone will not save it. In practice it lives on planning, placement, and the slow satisfaction of making a messy operation run. Compared with more serious tycoon games, it is louder and sillier, and that is the point. By our assessment, it works best for players who like management with a sharp concept and not much moral polish.
