Dead Effect

Dead Effect is for players who want corridor shooting, ammunition management, and a sci-fi horror setting without a lot of narrative fuss. By our assessment, its best side is the simple loop of moving through tight spaces, clearing enemies, and picking up upgrades, which makes it easy to grasp. The downside is that this kind of shooter can feel repetitive fast when the enemy variety and level design do not keep pace. In practice it is a game of narrow hallways, repeated fights, and the steady pressure of low resources rather than big set pieces. Compared with bigger horror shooters, it is more modest and less polished, but also more direct about what it wants to be. Dead Effect works for people who are happy with a compact, mechanical shooter and do not need a lot of story around it.
