DarkEnd

DarkEnd goes after the older style of top-down fantasy role-playing, where exploration, grinding, and party management matter more than polish. By our assessment, that kind of rough, direct structure can be appealing if someone wants a stripped-back dungeon crawl instead of a glossy modern RPG. The problem is that this sort of game often asks for patience with repetition and loose presentation, and DarkEnd does not look like a project that hides those edges. In practice it is the sort of game where the loop itself has to carry the interest: move, fight, loot, recover, repeat. It sits well below the big names of the genre in presentation, but that lower-key position is also part of the bargain. DarkEnd will suit players who want old-school pacing and can tolerate a little clunk.
