Dark Hours

Dark Hours sounds like a horror setup, but without firmer public substance it stays at the level of atmosphere rather than a clearly known game. By our assessment, the name suggests short bursts of fear, low light, and the sort of play where what is unseen matters as much as what is on screen. That can be effective if the design is tight, because horror games live or die on pacing and control of space. The downside is obvious too: if the scares are all ambience and no structure, the game can feel empty once the first tension wears off. In the wider field it would sit among moody indie horror rather than loud action or puzzle-heavy fare, and that is a narrow lane. The useful question is whether it has more than a mood, because the title alone does not answer it.
