DG2: Defense Grid 2

DG2: Defense Grid 2 is a straight tower defense game for players who enjoy planning lanes, placing turrets, and watching routes tighten under pressure. By our assessment, its strength is the clean tower-defense loop: readable paths, clear placement choices, and the slow satisfaction of turning a messy map into a controlled one. The trade-off is that tower defense lives on learning layouts and patterns, so once the puzzle is solved the surprise drops sharply. In play it is about positioning, timing, and adapting to waves rather than fast reflexes, which makes it comfortable for methodical players and less so for anyone wanting constant action. It sits squarely in the classic defense-grid style of strategy game, and the 2 in the title is just part of the name, not a promise of anything else. The whole thing is built around careful placement, not improvisation.
