DEPLOYMENT

DEPLOYMENT is the kind of shooter that lives or dies on pace, and here the appeal is the stripped-down loop of moving, fighting, and trying to outlast the room in front of you. By our assessment, it works best for players who want immediate action rather than a long setup, because the whole thing is built around quick decisions and pressure. Its strength is that kind of directness: there is little ceremony, just combat and survival in a compact format. The downside is also the same thing, since this style has a narrow ceiling and can feel thin if someone wants systems, story, or long progression. In practice that usually means short sessions and little patience for anything but the core loop. Compared with broader action games, DEPLOYMENT sounds like a leaner, harsher proposition, not a full menu of features.
