Cut the Rope 2 keeps the original puzzle idea and adds more moving pieces, which is exactly what makes it work for a mobile audience. By our assessment, its strength is the clean physics-puzzle loop: cut a line, watch the candy swing, chain the timing, and try to feed the creature with as little fuss as possible. The trade-off is that the later stages depend on reading busy screens and handling several devices or characters at once, so the elegance of the first game gives way to more clutter. In practice it feels touch-driven and very immediate, the sort of game that works best in short bursts. It sits as a sequel rather than a reinvention, and that is mostly the point. The number 2 is part of the title, not a score or count.
