Crime Scene Cleaner

Crime Scene Cleaner is the kind of game that turns a grim job into a clean-up routine: remove blood, bag evidence, scrub the room, and get the place ready for whatever comes next. By our assessment, its strongest point is the concrete housekeeping fantasy, because the work has clear steps and a neat before-and-after payoff. The limit is just as plain, since the appeal rests on repetition and on a fairly narrow loop of tidying rather than on big surprises. In play it is all close attention, corners, stains, and the order in which a scene can be made presentable again. It sits beside other job-sim and cleaning games, but with a darker premise than most of them. Crime Scene Cleaner will suit players who enjoy methodical chores in game form; it will not do much for anyone who wants pace, spectacle, or a broad action system.
