Cricket 19

Cricket 19 is a cricket game for people who want the sport translated into a controller, with batting, bowling, field settings, and the long, tactical rhythm that cricket fans expect. By our assessment, its strength is straightforward: it aims at the full rules-and-situations side of the game rather than reducing cricket to a quick highlight reel. The downside is equally plain, because cricket games live and die on patience, knowledge of the sport, and comfort with slower pacing. In practice that means a lot of setup, waiting, and reading the field before anything decisive happens, which is faithful but not lively. It sits in a niche that is much narrower than football or baseball games, and that makes its audience more specialised from the start. Cricket 19 is most useful for players who already care about the sport and want the simulation layer, while casual sports-game players may bounce off the pace.
