Creative Destruction

Creative Destruction is a battle royale built around building and shooting, aimed at players who like quick matches and a cartoonish Fortnite-like structure. By our assessment, its appeal comes from that familiar loop of landing, scavenging, throwing up cover, and trying to be the last one standing. The problem is that the game lives in a crowded field, so it has to compete with much stronger names while leaning on a look and format many players already know. In practice it is the sort of game where construction matters as much as aim, and fights can swing fast once walls start going up. It sits in the middle of the battle royale pile rather than at the top, and that makes it easy to understand but hard to stand out. Creative Destruction is fine as a genre piece, yet the ceiling is set by how much the player wants another version of that same loop.
