Creaks

Creaks turns the whole experience into a quiet puzzle box, with hand-painted art, careful animation, and spatial riddles built around shifting perspective and strange creatures in the walls. By our assessment, its strongest quality is the mood-to-mechanics fit: the art is not decoration, it is part of how the puzzles are read. The downside is that it is still a puzzle game, so once the visual idea is understood, the appeal depends on whether the puzzle chain keeps surprising you. In practice it is slow, tidy, and very deliberate, with more observation than speed. It sits closer to atmosphere-first indie adventures than to big puzzle-platformers, and Creaks is for players who want their riddles wrapped in a strong visual identity rather than loud challenge.
