Counter-Strike Nexon: Studio

Counter-Strike Nexon: Studio carries the Counter-Strike name, but in practice it is a free-to-play spin on the familiar round-based shooter formula rather than the straight competitive standard most people mean. By our assessment, its main appeal is the same quick plant, defuse, buy-round rhythm and team shooting that make the series easy to recognize, with extra gimmicks layered on top. The downside is also familiar: free-to-play systems and a more cluttered presentation can make it feel less clean than the mainline Counter-Strike games. It sits in the long shadow of the core series, and that comparison is hard for it to escape. People who want a lighter, more arcade-leaning take on Counter-Strike may find it readable enough, while anyone looking for the tightest competitive version should go to the standard entries instead. The name promises one thing, and the play drifts a little away from it.
