CosmicBreak Universal

CosmicBreak Universal is a free-to-play action game built around small mechs, loud PvP, and a very arcade feel. By our assessment, it works best when the appeal of collecting different bots, fitting out parts, and jumping into short matches is enough on its own. The strength is the sheer character of its combat: it wants quick movement, vertical fights, and constant tinkering with loadouts. The downside is the usual one for this sort of game: balance, grind, and the free-to-play economy can sit right in the middle of the fun. In practice it feels busy rather than precise, with a lot of menus between the bouts. Compared with heavier mech games, CosmicBreak Universal is lighter and more chaotic, and that makes it easy to sample but less likely to satisfy someone wanting a serious sim.
