Coromon

Coromon gives monster-catching fans a modern clean line on a familiar handheld-style formula, with turn-based battles, team building, and the pleasant grind of filling out a creature roster. By our assessment, its strength is how comfortably it sits in the pocket between classic Pokémon-like structure and a more polished indie presentation. The downside is that it still lives inside that old template, so if the formula itself does not excite you, no amount of neat presentation will change that. In practice it is a game of routes, encounters, and careful party management, with enough structure to feel orderly and enough collection pressure to keep pulling you forward. Compared with the biggest genre names, it is less massive and less culturally loud, but it is also more focused and less tangled. Coromon is a strong pick for players who want the monster-collecting loop without a lot of clutter around it.
