Commandos 3: Destination Berlin asks for careful timing more than quick reflexes, and that is exactly why it works for fans of stealth tactics. By our assessment, its strength is the old Commandos formula of small squads, exact positioning, and planning around enemy sight lines, with the World War II setting giving each mission a clear military shape. The downside is the same one that follows the series everywhere: a mistake can unravel a whole plan, and the game is happiest when the player accepts repetition and slow setup. In practice it feels like moving a tiny toolkit through a hostile map, one guard and one patrol at a time. Compared with action-heavy war games, it is more about patience and puzzle-solving than force. Commandos 3: Destination Berlin rewards people who enjoy precise stealth work and does not soften that job much.
